If a total of two years pass from the original enrollment date without completing the exam, the candidate’s exam eligibility expires permanently. In this case, a new Exam Extension Fee must be paid to regain access to the NASM exam platform.
The NASM Exam Extension allows candidates to extend the validity of their exam eligibility period by an additional six (6) months.
All NASM certification programs provide a one-year window to complete the final exam. If a candidate is unable to take the exam within that initial 12-month period, purchasing the Exam Extension grants an extra six months to prepare and schedule the test.
