BEFORE YOUR EXAM
To sit for a NASM certification exam, there are a few requirements and recommendations you should be aware of:
- Minimum Age: Candidates must be at least 18 years old to take any NASM certification exam.
- CPR/AED Certification:
- For the NASM Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) with NCCA-accredited exam (required for those planning to work in the United States or Canada), you must hold a valid CPR/AED certification from a recognized health organization at the time of your final exam.
- For other certifications — including the NASM International CPT (ICPT), CES, PES, and CNC — CPR/AED is not mandatory but is highly recommended for your professional development.
- INFC provides access to the official NASM Online CPR/AED Certification Course, delivered in partnership with ASTI, fully online and internationally recognized. Learn more here.
- Identification: You must present a valid passport or government-issued ID at the time of your exam. Driver’s licenses are not accepted.
- Cancellations: If you cannot attend your scheduled exam (in-person or remote), you must cancel at least 24 hours in advance. Otherwise, your exam voucher will be forfeited and a new fee will apply.

After the Exam
If you successfully pass your exam, you will be able to download and print your certification directly from your personal NASM or AFAA account within three business days.
Within approximately four weeks after completing your final exam, you will also receive your official printed certificate, shipped directly from the United States.
If you do not pass your exam, or if you need an extension or further clarification, please contact INFC. Our team will guide you through the available options and help you find the best solution for your situation.
Remember: your certification is more than just a credential — it’s the beginning of a career where you can inspire change and transform lives.
